Approximately 15% of Middlebury`s student body is Jewish, and members of Hillel have included students from all denominations of Judaism. The Middlebury College Jewish Center is the locale of a rich and varied program of lectures, discussions, brunches, and regular Shabbat evening services and dinners, and includes a dairy/vegetarian kitchen. The Middlebury dining halls always have a vegetarian menu but have no kosher meal plan. Middlebury students are the driving force behind their Hillel, creating dynamic and student centered cultural, social and religious programming. This is a warm, welcoming environment where students are constantly learning from each other to deepen their Jewish identities and experience.
